This used to be the 3rd convention devoted to the reminiscence of Prof. Esen Ozkarahan. we're very proud to proceed this practice and maintain the reminiscence of this striking scientist. The 3rd convention coated the various issues of the second: databases and knowledge warehouses, details platforms improvement and administration, - formation retrieval, disbursed and parallel facts processing, and evolutionary algorithms. along with them a few of the sizzling issues relating to details platforms have been integrated within the scope of this convention, similar to info mining and kno- facet discovery, net details platforms improvement, info privateness and protection, multimedia details platforms, and community administration. This 12 months we obtained 203 submissions from which this system Committee chosen sixty one papers for presentation on the convention. The good fortune of the convention used to be based upon the labor of a giant variety of humans. We gratefully recognize the contribution of the individuals of this system Committee who did their most sensible to study all submitted papers. We additionally thank all of the experts who helped us in reviewing the papers. We liked the consistent help and support from the Rector of Dokuz Eylul collage, Prof. Dr. Emin Alici. i want to specific my own gratitude to Natalya Cheremnykh and Olga Drobyshevich for his or her assist in generating the camera-ready model of those proceedings.

Object Technology Series. pl Abstract. In this paper we present a system of spatial data warehouse designed for aggregating and analyzing a wide range of spatial information. The data is generated by media meters working in a telemetric system. The data warehouse is based on a new model called the cascaded star model. The cascaded star is the spatial development of a standard star schema. We decided to use an indexing structure called aggregation tree. The aggregation tree materialization and integrated mechanism of available memory estimation highly improve the efficiency of the system.
18 S. Luj´ an-Mora and J. Trujillo For each one of the workflows, we use different UML diagrams (techniques) to model and document the development process, but a model can be modified in different phases because models evolve over time. In the following sections, we comment the main details of the workflows and highlight the diagrams we use in each workflow. 3 Requirements During this workflow, what the final users expect to do with the DW is captured: the final users should specify the most interesting measures and aggregations, the analysis dimensions, the queries used to generate periodical reports, the update frequency of the data, etc.
