What are you grateful for?
The other night I overheard a conversation between one of our senior therapists and her client. The enthusiasm with which they were both genuinely engaged and the rhapsodic manor in which her client showed his appreciation is not an uncommon thing to witness yet I doubt the novelty of these experiences will ever wear off. This particular night had a profound effect on me. As I watched their interaction a wave of warmth washed over me sparking a reflective state of mindfulness. Serendipitously in sync with the season I felt overwhelmed with gratitude.
After everyone left and the quiet settled in I detected a familiar but unidentified soft percussive rumbling that seemed to be coming from everywhere yet nowhere. I scoured the store looking for the source, the problem. What was off balance? Was there a motor off kilter somewhere? What random unexpected repair did I need to deal with now? After failing to find really anything out of sorts I realized that wasn’t the sound of some problem but rather the absence of any. I then realized everything was running smoothly and that soft yet penetrating vibration was Kinesthesia’s isness purring not unlike a kitten .There will always be new features to add and improvements to make but I have been introduced to this foreign sensation of contentment.
I need to thank all of the fantastic individuals whose contributions have shaped Kinesthesia into the sentience sanctuary that it has become. Trying to find people who possess the combination of qualities we look to hire is like hunting for unicorns. They are quite elusive and rare but we have wrangled some. Even with the unrealistic goals I habitually set, I never, in my wildest dreams, imagined that we would form the family of down to earth, out of these world therapists that we have! My fabulous, patient, unequaled business partner can take a tremendous credit for his recruiting and infinite other skills. I can’t thank him enough for pushing me to reopen Kinesthesia and for all of his contributions, hard work and influence that have played such a huge role in our evolution.
The final puzzle piece that completes the enigmatic entity Kinesthesia has become is our divinely diverse array of clients. We are very grateful for the sense of community that has developed as a result of massive increase in local traffic. It seems more and more we are able to implement concepts we’ve dremt of into the way we operate and we’re finding more and more people searching for an alternative approach to relaxation. Finding clients who notice and appreciate all the little details that make up the big picture, the whole of our philosophy is truly the cat’s pajamas, the bee’s knees. It’s the most rewarding feeling.
Thank you! All of you!
